When we first got married, our dream was always to have a homestead somewhere in Central Indiana. A piece of land where we could spread out, raise some kids, create a legacy for our family.

After four kids, some moving around the area, and settling on a career, we finally were given the opportunity (and necessity) to grow our house and footprint into something larger. The boys needed room to run and be adventurous- and we felt this was the time to expand.

We had been watching a plot of land for years go on and off the market. When we were ready, the land was for sale again. And we promptly swept in to start the process of creating Ashton Acres. The next two years were a blur of building a house, broken bodies, tears and chaos, but we ultimately moved into our new home on Christmas Eve, 2019.

Our kids have grown and their interests have expanded, but they all want to help create the Ashton Acres Farm & Home legacy. Each one has unique gifts that they are ready to share with all of you- baking, wood work, animal care and so much more! We are just a family of imperfect people encouraging each other to be a part of something bigger than themselves and trying to impact our community in this small way.
